Zatar Cheese
on Toast

A simple, yet flavorful Middle Eastern-inspired twist on classic cheese on toast, this recipe combines the earthy, aromatic blend of Palestinian zatar with creamy cheese for a delicious, savoury treat.

Ingredients:

- 2 slices of bread (sourdough, whole wheat, or any bread of your choice)

- 2 generous pinches of Baity Baladi Zatar

- 50g of your preferred cheese, slices or grated (we like a mix of cheddar and mozarella)

- a splash of Worcestershire sauce

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Grill.

2. Prepare the Bread by toasting both sides lightly in a toaster or under the grill.

3. Add the cheese, generous pinch of zatar and a splash of Worcestershire sauce and grill until the cheese is melty and bubbling.

4. Enjoy!

- Serve your za'atar cheese on toast hot, with a side of cucumber slices drizzled with olive oil and sumac or olives for a complete Middle Eastern-inspired snack or light meal.
